Information is used to operate user accounts, respond to enquiries, manage the research and library platform, review feedback, administer support records, protect the service, and improve HSKRC. Support records are not displayed publicly unless public display is requested and then approved by an administrator.
Authentication and data storage
HSKRC uses Supabase for authentication, database services and parts of the website infrastructure. Information submitted through account, feedback and support features may therefore be processed and stored through those services.
Local storage and preferences
The website uses browser local storage for functions such as remembering your light/dark theme and language preference, and for authentication session data used by the sign-in system. These settings help the site work consistently between visits.
Public content and research records
Library records, research articles, researcher profiles, sources and other published research content are intended to be publicly accessible. Do not submit private or confidential information for public publication unless you are authorised to do so.
Access and corrections
If you need to correct information you submitted, have a privacy question, or want to request action regarding your account information, use the HSKRC Feedback & Contact page. Requests may require verification before changes are made.
Website analytics
HSKRC uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate website usage and performance. Analytics information is used to improve the website, understand public reach, and prepare aggregate impact reporting. HSKRC does not use this analytics service for advertising.

HSKRC links to third-party research, heritage and reference websites. Their privacy practices are controlled by those organisations and are not governed by this policy.
