Hassan Sabbah Knowledge & Research Centre is an independent digital research platform that organises books, articles, researchers, historical knowledge and traceable sources around Hassan Sabbah, Alamut and Nizari Ismaili heritage.
The problem and the response
Specialised historical material is distributed across books, academic publications, institutional records and popular media. HSKRC reduces that fragmentation without presenting itself as a substitute for scholarship.
Problem
Students, researchers and general readers can struggle to distinguish documented history from legend, unsourced claims or isolated web pages, especially when relevant material is spread across languages and institutions.
Solution
HSKRC brings research records into one bilingual digital environment, connects topics to identifiable evidence, and provides a structured route from a historical subject to sources, researchers, articles and library records.
Live research collection
These figures are loaded from the public HSKRC research database. Static values remain visible to crawlers if the live connection is temporarily unavailable.
What makes the platform different
The core innovation is not simply digitising content; it is connecting research objects so users can move from a topic to the evidence around it.
Technology, trust and accessibility
The platform uses lightweight web infrastructure while keeping research, privacy, copyright and accessibility requirements visible to users.
Technology
GitHub Pages provides deployment, Supabase provides structured data and authentication, and Cloudflare provides traffic analytics and automated-abuse protection. Public research pages remain readable without an account.
Data protection
Authentication and row-level access controls are handled through Supabase. Public forms use anti-bot protection, and HSKRC publishes privacy and terms information for users.
Accessibility
The interface includes responsive layouts, keyboard-friendly controls, labelled form elements, readable contrast and light/dark display modes, with bilingual navigation across core sections.
Research ethics
HSKRC does not train its own AI model. AI-assisted tools may support drafting, translation, coding or quality checks, while historical claims remain tied to identifiable scholarly or institutional sources.
